Bear Bone Vintage is owned and operated by Sam Messina. She got her love for vintage and antiques from her namesake and grandfather, Sam Messina. She grew up going to auctions and has always appreciated the value and quality of antiques and vintage. Although there was a brief tangent involving theatre and college, she realized her dream and conceived of Bear Bone Vintage in 2016. For the first few years it was primarily an excuse to collect vintage clothing but eventually it was enough to open her own brick and mortar in August 2019.
The first location in New Hope has since closed due to the pandemic, however Sam has now teamed up with Amy Bishop, a talented seamstress and stylist, who's sewing skills have been honed while working as a costume designer for theatre productions, music videos, and themed events. They have now opened a new location in Lambertville NJ and are excited to be working together building a business that encourages sustainability and creativity.
The Important Facts: Sam has a Great Pyrenees, named Bear, who's a monster of a dog, her beloved companion and a contributing factor to the name of the business. Amy has a rescued pup, named Clarence, who's the sweetest youngster and can an often be found hanging at the shop greeting everyone that enters.
